As a global player, MAHLE is fully aware of its legal and social responsibility.
To ensure compliance with the legal requirements and ethical principles within the MAHLE Group, we have developed a global compliance structure.
The compliance structure includes, among others:
- a global compliance organization with regional contacts and central reporting channels
- the MAHLE Business Code as a code of conduct to ensure that employees’ behavior complies with laws and regulations
- measures for prevention
- a training concept to raise the awareness of employees in compliance-relevant risk areas
- measures to ensure the sustainability of the compliance structure.
An integral part of our compliance structure is the MAHLE Business Code. The purpose of this Business Code is to provide a legal and ethical framework within which all employees of the MAHLE Group, including directors and executives, must work.
In order to ensure compliance with statutory provisions and ethical principles within its own supplier base, MAHLE has developed the Supplier Code of Conduct for all suppliers of the MAHLE Group and all suppliers must ensure compliance with these provisions.
Another element of the MAHLE compliance structure is our open corporate culture. In addition to the existing internal reporting channels, employees, business partners and third parties have the possibility to report potential violations of laws or internal guidelines at any time via the web-based whistleblower system. Furthermore, the whistleblowing system can also be used to report any misconduct in connection with human rights and environmental protection by the companies of the MAHLE Group or direct suppliers.
